Chili Recipe

Okay, so I have been looking for an easy, good, hearty chili recipe. I think I found the one. Super easy, super cheap, and freezes well! Here it is!

Slow Cooker Chili

1 1/2 lb ground beef (I use about 1 lb)- brown and drain

2 cans (15oz) kidney beans- rinse and drain

1 1/2 c. salsa (I'm a sissy so I use mild)

1 can (16 oz) tomato sauce, no salt added

2 Tbs. chili powder

1 onion- chopped

1 c. frozen corn- thaw and drain (can use canned, but I like frozen better)

(I add a small can of mild green chili's)

Optional Toppings: Mexican cheese, sour cream

Directions: Brown and drain the ground beef. Add everything except toppings to the slow cooker. Cook on Low 5-6 hours or High 3-4 hours.

Yields: 8 cups

Nutrition: serving size 1 cup

I really enjoy this chili. It is nothing compared to my Grandma's awesome chili, but I like it. Enjoy!
